The Vision of SAF is to carry out JAUC's vision by providing a "bilingual, intimate, Christ-centered" environment to worship, have fellowship, pray, and learn in small groups-for all ages.
Our theme for 2005 is: DOING THINGS FOR GOD AND NOT FOR OUR OWN (2 Timothy); Becoming worthy "Soldiers For the Almighty.

The new SAF chairs were elected at Jan. 16 SAF meeting.
The meeting opened with prayer and praise time. 15 people
attended. After
praise, the members were asked whether there was any topic which we should
discuss before choosing new chairs. Everyone agreed that we could move
to
choose new chairs now.
Carlos volunteered; Jin was nominated two weeks ago and he accepted it;
Dean
and Danny promised to assist them as chair advisors. This combination
seemed
quite balanced (though all of them were male! A very rare phenomenon in
this
church), and everyone welcomed it. Carlos made a short speech to express
his
zeal.

July 24, Sun, 1:30PM- Nathan's bible study - all are welcome!
July 31, Sun, 1:30PM- Praise time - all are welcome!
AUGUST
August 13th - Outing to Great Adventures, NJ-all are welcome!
WINTER
Winter 2006 - Winter retreat, contact Carlos

if you are available to help with cooking/preparing for any of the above
dates. This makes it easier to plan what to make.
Please come to help cook on days that SAF is serving lunch.
Times to help prepare are 9am, Sunday mornings and help serve during
lunch time at noon.
More detailed email notices will be sent prior to these days. Thank
you!
Sunday, August 22 – with wonderful weather we were able to hold
a BBQ on the church patio after the SAF. Approximately 40 people remained
for the occasion.
Saturday, August 14th bad weather caused by hurricanes Bonnie &
Charley SAF rerouted the canoe trip to the New York Aquarium.
Friday and Saturday July 30-31st pastor and seven volunteers from the
church helped repaint the parsonage. Before and after pictures are posted
in the social hall. We enjoyed a BBQ cook out in the evening.
