Fujinkai

Fujinkai is the Japanese-speaking women's association as a source of spiritual support at the church. It was originally organized to do charitable work and social service. It has fulfilled a mother's role in the church, providing warm encouragement. Currently, a half of the members are active among 60 members. They serve as various church committee members, and the Board of Directors, PPRC.

Its target is Japanese-speaking women. The group ministers to elderly and sick members who cannot attend church by visiting them, sending them cards and Fujinkai Newsletters, and calling them by telephone. Members minister through individual contact a method which has proven to be more effective than once-a-week contact at church.

Regular meetings are once a month on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Guest speakers are often invited to speak. Other activities include participation in the program of preparing lunch after the worship service and providing of special music for the worship service.
